You can cancel your hostinger account services and subscriptions in just 3 clicks, first on the “Hosting” tab, then on the “Manage” button beside the subscription and lastly on “Deactivate Account” button.
If you wish to cancel your Hostinger subscription, all it takes is three clicks. Hostinger services, subscriptions can only be cancelled from the user area of your account. There is no other means of cancelling your availed services and subscriptions.
Just follow the 8 steps by which you cancel as well as renew your cancelled Hostinger Subscriptions/Services
- Click on the “Hosting” tab in the header of your user area. You will be able to see all the active hosting subscriptions on your account.
- Click on the “manage” button beside the hosting plan which you wish to cancel. You will be redirected to a page where you can see all the settings and options available in that subscription.
- Navigate to the “Other” section in the page. This section is located towards the end of the page.
- There will be a button under the “Other” section which has “Deactivate Account” written over it. All you need to do is click on it.
- You will be requested for a confirmation of deactivation of your selected subscription plan and after that your plan be cancelled and deactivated.
- If you happen to change your mind and wish to reactive your subscription, there is generally a time frame of 21 days within which you can reactivate your subscription.
- On deactivation of your account or subscription, Hostinger shows you the time within which you can reactivate in case you change your mind.
- We always advice you to connect with customer service and work out all your options before deactivating your subscription. Most importantly confirm your refund amount and the time it will take to process refund.

Hostinger Refund Process and Payment Options
After cancelling your hostinger account, all you need to do is select the mode of payment for refund and that marks the end of hostinger refund process.
Hostinger does offer multiple payment methods when you qualify for refund.

Original Payment Method
In majority of the cases, your payment can be processed to the original payment method. There are however a few exceptions to this.
If you purchase Hostinger plans or services using the following payment methods, then you will not receive payments in the original payment source.
- E-banking (Malaysia)
- FPX (Malaysia)
- Multibanco (Portugal)
- DragonPay (Philippines)
- GrabPay (Philippines)
- GCash (Philippines)
In such cases you can receive your refund payment either in Hostinger Balance or PayPal.
Hostinger Balance
Hostinger balance is the Hostinger wallet, where your refund amount will reflect if you choose this payment method. You can further use the amount to purchase other services, subscriptions from Hostinger.
PayPal
When you do not have the option to avail refund to your original payment method and you do not wish to opt for Hostinger Balance, then PayPal is your last resort. The refund amount will be transferred to the PayPal account you provide for refund processing.
Time Required for Hostinger to Process your Refund
The time period for refund processing depends on the mode of payment that you choose. The refund amount is transferred to your hostinger wallet in no time if you select “hostinger balance” as refund option, otherwise it is usually processed the same day. However, no such time frame is mentioned in the refund policy.
We tried finding the answer to that in their refund policy but as of date we could not find anything. There is a clear mention of what falls under available for refund and what will not be refunded but there is no mention of time frame.
Hostinger Balance
It takes no time for the refund amount to be transferred to your Hostinger wallet. We still advice that you confirm with the customer service at the time of cancellation. Usually, the transfer is immediately after confirmation of cancellation.
Original Payment Method & PayPal
Usually, the payment is processed the same day and mostly the same hour. However, no such time frame is mentioned in the refund policy.
So, what do you do? The best solution is that before cancelling your service, you can ask the customer service and they will tell you exactly as of that time, by when can the refund be expected.

The policy however, does not necessarily translate to 100% refund of amount paid. It has sections which clearly states what is refundable and what is non refundable. Though majority of the features are entitled to refund.

These are the things that you normally pay for in a plan. The catch here is that it has to be well under 30 days from the date of transaction.
You get refunded to your original payment method but there are a few exceptions to this too. One of it being when payment is made through certain E-banking (Malaysia), GCash (Philippines), GrabPay / DragonPay (Philippines) etc, your payment will not be refunded in the original method.
In such special cases where you are eligible for refund but not via the original payment method, the you get a refund in your Hosting Account Balance or PayPal.

Domain Cancellations
Hostinger does offer services to buy and transfer domains and they too are available for refund. You can receive refunds on timely cancellations of the domain.
There are two parts to domain cancellations, one is Domain Registration and the other is Domain Transfers.
Domain Registration – Refundable only when cancelled within 4 Days or 96 hours of Registration.
Domain Transfers – Refundable only when cancelled before 4 Days or 96 hours of Registration.
Beyond the specified time limit, there shall be no refund.
No Refund / Non Refundable
You may not like it but there are parts of your purchases that will not be refunded be it within 30 days from date of purchase. They are

- Domain name renewals

- SEO Toolkit
- G Suite
These are some of the elements of your purchase that are final purchases and will not get qualified for refund.
This is not all that fall under the no refund bucket. There is more to it. Your refund can depend on your payment method too. If you have made a purchase using the following payment methods, you will not get a refund.
